Two shops, two counties, two sets of hours. Santa Cruz County is run out of Potrero Street in Santa Cruz. Los Angeles is run out of Beethoven Street in Mar Vista. Same company, same licence, different crews and different phone numbers — use the one for your area and you will get to the right dispatcher.

We cover the city of Santa Cruz, the mid-county corridor through Live Oak, Capitola, Soquel and Aptos, up into Scotts Valley, and south into Monterey County. The county splits in ways that matter for plumbing: some addresses are on the Santa Cruz County Sanitation District sewer and some are on septic, some are on district water and some on private wells. We confirm which set of rules your address falls under before quoting.
The city itself, plus Live Oak and the Westside. Older housing stock, clay sewer laterals, and a lateral inspection requirement that catches people at the point of sale.
Capitola Village, Jewel Box and the surrounding streets. Soquel Creek Water District water is hard, which is the single biggest factor in water heater life here. Commercial kitchens along the Esplanade have their own grease interceptor rules.
Aptos Village, Seacliff, Rio del Mar, Seascape, Day Valley and Trout Gulch. Aptos is the one that splits hardest: the Sanitation District serves only portions of it, so sewer and septic sit side by side street to street.
Monterey, Pacific Grove, Seaside, Marina, Carmel-by-the-Sea and the Peninsula. We dispatch there from Santa Cruz, so Monterey work is scheduled rather than same-hour. The Peninsula has a water efficiency retrofit requirement at close of escrow that does not exist anywhere else we work.

The Westside and central Los Angeles, from Mar Vista out through Beverly Hills and up into Hollywood and Silver Lake. Different problems from Santa Cruz: older cast iron and galvanised supply in the pre-war neighbourhoods, seismic requirements on water heaters, and a permitting process that runs through LADBS rather than a county office.
Large older homes, long service runs, and hard water that shortens the life of tank heaters.
Coastal exposure, a lot of multi-unit property, and sewer work that has to be coordinated with the city.
A mix of post-war single family and newer infill, with repiping the most common large job.
Hillside properties, difficult access, and pressure problems that are usually the regulator rather than the main.
Steep lots and older sewer laterals, where a camera inspection saves a lot of guessing.
Santa Cruz County and Monterey County go to the Santa Cruz shop on (831) 777-5758. Los Angeles goes to (310) 845-6027. The two run separate crews and separate schedules, so calling the right one gets you to the right dispatcher first time.
They differ by office. Santa Cruz is Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed Sunday. Los Angeles is Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
No. We are not a 24-hour outfit and we do not promise an arrival window we cannot hold. If you have water coming in now, shut the water off at the main and call us when we open; the shut-off is the part that limits the damage.
Yes, and we are open about what that means. Monterey work is dispatched from 303 Potrero St in Santa Cruz, so it is scheduled rather than immediate. The Peninsula also has its own rules, including a water efficiency retrofit required before close of escrow.
Yes. California C-36 plumbing contractor, CSLB #914119, licensed and insured, in business since 1999. The licence covers both counties; it is one company, not a franchise.
Yes, in both markets. Restaurant and commercial kitchen work has its own requirements, particularly grease interceptor sizing, and those requirements are set locally rather than statewide.
Often, yes. The pages above are the areas we work most, not a boundary. Soquel, Live Oak, Scotts Valley, La Selva Beach and the Corralitos edge are all routine from the Santa Cruz shop. Call and describe the address.
Yes. We quote before work starts rather than billing by the hour and letting it run. What we will not do is quote a whole-house figure over the phone without seeing what is actually in the wall.
